Many patients complain of difficulty breathing from one or both sides of the nose. This may or may not be a result of previous trauma to the area. Causes include a deviated septum, enlarged turbinates or bony abnormalities. The exact source of the problem dictates the treatment plan.
Some of the cartilage in the midline may have to be removed, the turbinates may have to be resected or cauterized (thermal treatment) and the bones may have to be manipulated.
When you come to our office, we will sit down and discuss your needs and desires. Using computer simulation, we will formulate a plan that is best for you.
